You've worked hard in school to make it to the college of your dreams. But figuring out how to tell your life story in less than 500 words is no easy task. Our network of college students are here to help you put your best foot forward for application season.
Search for and connect with accomplished college students with a similar background who have successfully been admitted to top universities
Don't have a ton of money to pay for a college advisor? Search for the services that you need in the price range that you can afford
Connect with someone awesome and let the rest of the community know how much they helped you
Let's face it. Professional college advisors are expensive. But without advice, how do you know you're submitting the best application possible? Esago is a platform that allows ambitious high school students to connect with college students who come from similar backgrounds and can serve as personal advisors. These advisors can provide them with targeted advice on essays, resumes, financial assistance, etc.
Maybe you're the first person in your family to go to college. Maybe you've served in the military and are looking to make a change. Maybe you're from a rural area and have never been on a plane - let alone moved to a different state. People travel different paths to get to great universities, so why not look for a personalized guide?
Maybe you're just looking for some general advice on which programs are best for you. Maybe you already have the first version of your essays drafted and need some fresh eyes to review. Maybe you have an interview scheduled and don't know how to prepare. Whatever your questions may be, you can search for advisors prepared to help you out.
Depending on their experience and availability, we let our community of college students set their own prices for services, making it easier for you to get the mentorship you need within a budget that works for you
We let you filter for advisors to connect with students who attend universities you're interested in or to filter to find students who have similar backgrounds. Once you've found students you want to connect with and who offer the services you need, you can send them a request for help with more specific details on what you need (including details like deadlines). If the student is available, they can accept the request and only once they have submitted materials through our system will they be paid.
We let advisors select the services they want to offer and the prices they want to set for each service. These could include all or some of the following: resume review, essay review, interview prep, and advice on specific topics (relocating to a different state, applying for financial aid/scholarships, early admission, etc.)
Nope! You can request services from as many people as you like.
We operate similar to platforms like AirBnB and Uber so that all high school students are able to provide feedback to mentors in the form of ratings. This creates accountability for our advisors and also makes it easier to assess which mentors are responsive and provide great assistance. We also make sure that all college students that register to become advisors sign up with a .edu email address for their university.
Once an advisor has accepted your request we will "hold" your payment. Payment will be finalized once you have confirmed you and your advisor can confirmed that the services were delivered.
